Steroid or sex hormones are produced naturally in the human body by the adrenal glands. Steroids can also be formed as a medication or drug. Steroids are available lawfully only by proper recommendation. Small steroid doses are taken to deal with a handful of critical medical conditions like AIDS, Cancer, liver tumor etc. Different types of steroids do have legitimate medical uses. The different "types of steroids" have different function to play. There are basically three types of steroids that include corticosteroids, estrogens and progestogens, and androgens. The types of steroids are explained below: Corticosteroids Corticosteroids are formed in the adrenal cortex that are involved in a range of physiological arrangements such as blood electrolyte levels and behavior, immune and stress response and regulation of inflammation, carbohydrate and protein catabolism.Estrogens and Progestogens Such types of steroids are the female steroid hormone responsible for the development of secondary sexual features in them. These types of steroids can also maintain the female reproductive system. Androgens The male sex hormone produced in the testes, which is responsible for typical male sexual traits. Testosterone is the important androgenic hormone that looks after the male reproductive system. Testosterone is normally given to treat female breast cancer, androgen deficiency, and for growth stimulation, weight increase, and RBC production. Some types of steroids are harmful to human body, and they are banned or banished by governmental authorities. Sometimes physicians recommend different types of steroids to treat certain kinds of anemia and men who dont produce enough testosterone on their own. Doctors also prescribe a special kind of steroid, known as corticosteroids, to reduce swelling. People use various types of steroids for a number of purposes. Some people use steroids to enhance their muscle mass and overall strength, others make use of steroids to treat their illness. Some [*_*] help annihilating some types of cancer cells and can make chemotherapy more in effect. Dexamethasone, hydrocortisone, methylprednisolone and prednisolone are the common [*_*] that are used in treating cancer.Steroids abuse is common among athletes engaged in power sports such as power-lifting, muscle building, baseball, football and rugby. The various [*_*] available in the market include Testosterone, Dianabol, Danocrine, Anadur, Anavar, Andriol, AndroGel, Anadrol, Cheque Drops, Oxandrin, Winstrol, Deca-Durabolin, Durabolin, Equipoise, and Depo-testosterone.
Copyright 2006 John YoungIn Part I of this series, Pete had discovered he had Peripheral Neuropathy, nerve damage in his feet, over a year ago. His doctor prescribed Neurontin, and for awhile it worked. But the condition was progressive, and the pain increased. It seemed the drug was having an increasingly difficult time handling it.Pete wasnt satisfied that his condition had no cure. He got on the Internet and found outPeripheral Neuropathy has a variety of causes (For a more in-depth explanation, see www.neuropathy.org).These are:-- Immune Related, the most prominent of which is the Guillane-Barre syndrome in which the body's immune system attacks the Peripheral Nervous System. Weakness in the legs is usually a preliminary sign of this condition.-- Diabetic, caused by excessive blood sugar. This can take the forms of either Peripheral (damage to the extremities) or autonomic (damage to the Central Nervous System).-- Infectious, caused by HIV, Hepatitus or Lyme disease.-- Drug and Nutrition Related. Excessive alcohol consumption can result in a deficiency in thiamine (Vitamin B1) that is essential to the health of the Peripheral Nervous System.-- Hereditary. Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease is an example of hereditary Neuropathy. Nerves in the legs are affected first, followed by those in the feet and ultimately to the hands and arms.-- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Neuropathy resulting from repetitive damage.-- Critical Illness. Neuropathy can be brought on by attempts to combat cancer, such as chemotherapy.-- Idiopathic. A word for saying that nobody knows what causes it.And nobody, it seems, knows how to cure it.TWO ESSENTIALS YOUR NERVES DESPERATELY NEED.Neuropathy brought about by excessive alcohol consumption is thought to be caused by the reduction of Thiamine, or Vitamin B1, in the body. Thiamine has long been known to be vital to the healthy functioning of nerves and was linked to the disease Beriberi in 1937.It has long been known that nerves respond to the presence, or absence of Vitamin B1, but only recently, Neuropathy has been shown to also be made worse by the absence of B12 which supports nerve cell sheathing and promotes and regenerates nerve cells.Unfortunately, both Vitamins B1 and B12 are water soluble complexes that are not retained long in the body. Thiamine is flushed out of the body in 4 - 5 hours, and less than 1/2 of 1% of Vitamin B12 consumed orally is retained. It is almost impossible to get enough of this vitamin, and nerve cells are not protected well without it.So, is there a possibility that with the proper intake of Vitamins B1 and B12, that damaged nerves can be healed? There may be gain that kills the painPete was getting scared. The Neurontin dosage levels weren't cutting it and the neuropathy was rapidly taking over his feet.Where was this headed? And, more importantly...Was there any way to stop it? Was there any actual cure -- out there? Somewhere? From his Internet research, Pete learned that there was indeed some ongoing medical research into the role Vitamin B1 played in actually reversing Neuropathy, but little was known. But then he discovered something. Medical research was focused on water soluble vitamins B1 and B12, vitamins that didnt remain long enough in the body to do much good.If somehow they could be retained by the body longer HANG AROUND AND SOMETHING MIGHT HAPPEN.Pete discovered there was a possibility that Vitamins B1 and B12 could be retained in the body long enough to be therapeutic for nerve damage. It just had to be in an oil soluble form, rather than water soluble. The term "like dissolves like" has been a maxim of Chemists since the dawn of Chemistry. It has long been known that chemicals can be divided into two classes: polar and non-polar. The former are generally water soluble, and the latter are oil soluble.Oil soluble materials are taken up by the body and retained longer than the polar, water soluble, chemicals.A new form of Vitamin B1, known as Benfotiamine, has been discovered to be retained in the body much longer than Thiamine, and Methalcobalamine, known as Methyl B12, is also retained longer and is effective for nerve repair.Packaged together they may provide a real alternative for Peripheral Neuropathy sufferers, particularly those with Neuropathy symptoms in their hands and feet.SOMETHING MOREPete needed something more than pain management. He needed something that would actually therapeutically work to "heal" his condition, but he couldn't find it in conventional medicine. All available drugs did little more than to block or "manage" the pain, and as time went by and Pete's condition worsened, they were having steadily more difficulty doing that.Vitamin therapies exist which offered promise...but Pete was reluctant to try them. He was locked into the notion that any "alternative" solution to a medical problem was somewhere in that hazy world of medical quackery...And he didnt fully realize that alternate therapies were relegated to quackery by an industry dependent on pharmaceutical companies whose business economy depends on increasing the publics drug dependence....not true therapy. But alternate solutions do work, and without the side effects conventional pharmaceuticals usually produce.Vitamin therapies, based on oil soluble B complexes, are known to have a powerful role in healing damaged nerve cells without side effects, are based on sound medical principles that provide bright hope for healing Peripheral Neuropathy.
The origin of music as of late has not yet been dated as it is said to have been existent long before recorded history. Historians say it may hav originated from naturally occuring sounds like the sound of thunder, or the rhythm of a flowing stream. Human music may have started from primitive men trying to mimic these sounds using patterns, repetition, and tonality. Even at present, certain cultures utilize music that imitate naturally occuring sounds. Apart from the usual bird song and animals tapping on hollowed logs to mark their territory, man's voice is said to be the first musical instrument.Music, in the olden days, was said to have been used mainly for shamanistic practices and beliefs,. Apart from religious practices, it was also used for entertainment and/or practical functions. Music is present during times of feasts and festivities, it is used as a form of praise and worship. Men and women also used it to while away idle time. Hunters used music to lure animals right into their traps. Music has served a lot of function in primitive society.Due to music's functionality to sharmanism, it was believed that music's main use was to be a means of communication to the spirit world. Primitive people believed that spirits of different beings: nature, animal, or men, play vital roles in human lives. People also used to believe that their physical well-being is connected to the spirit, that illnesses and diseases were related to an imbalance in the harmony of the body and soul. Shamans, or what we call witch doctors in present times, were the healers, gurus and magicians of their tribe. They are responsible for getting rid of illnesses by uttering chants, singing, dancing, meditating and drumming. At present times, music is still being used as a form of therapy to provide stress relief and treat people with anxiety disorders among other mental conditions. It is more popularly known as music therapy. The form of therapy is at least as old as the writings of Aristotle. It was first administered during World War 1 and 2 where community musicians would visit hospitals to play for physically and emotionally traumatized soldiers. Simply put, music therapy is the use of music by a trained professional to achieve therapeutic goals. These therapeutic goals may include: promoting wellness, managing stress, alleviating pain, expressing feelings, enhancing memory, improving communication and promoting physical rehabilitation.Recent studies have shown that listening to music during an anxiety attack can help calm the person down. This proves most efficient for patients experiencing anxiety prior to undergoing surgery. It is the most easily administered, inexpensive, non-invasive, non-threatening tool to calm preoperative anxiety.Music is an incredibly powerful form of expression. It combines words and melodies to get messages across. Some songs may trigger different happy or sad memories in your mind. This is the strongest proof that music affects human emotions. Giving people with anxiety disorders a creative outlet such as music may be a good way for sufferers to, little by little, let out the source of their anxieties and alleviate patients moods.Healthy individuals may use music therapy as a form of stress relief through active music making. The exercise includes drumming and using the guitar to make sounds. The passive approach requires listening for relaxation. Music can also be used as accompaniment during exercise like calisthenics, yoga, or tai chi.Music has also been proven helpful to improve memory and motor skills for children in special classes. This also helps strengthen children's non-musical functions such as their communication skills and physical coordination skills required for daily life.Music has been very helpful for everyday living. From the primitive caveman to the modern scientists, everybody would agree in saying music is indeed the food for the soul, and in this therapy, for the mind and body as well.
You cannot ignore the medicinal benefits of Clenbuterol, even though the drug is more popular for its fat burning and muscle making benefits. Clenbuterol certainly has a number of medicinal uses and benefits.Clenbuterol is medically prescribed to the people suffering from asthma. It is used as an effective bronchodilator for the people suffering from breathing problems. The drug remains in body for longer period of time, which is measured to be 34 hours. That is why the drug is usually taken once or twice in the day. This characteristic of Clenbuterol makes it one of the easiest to use drugs. Clenbuterol is commonly available in 20mcg tablets, but it is also available in syrup and in injectable form. The drug affects the sympathetic nervous systems in a number of ways which in result makes it possible for the receptors to respond to the drug. The dosage for this purpose is prescribed as 80-100mcg/day which is sufficient for every person.Recently, the researchers studying the drug have found that Clenbuterol might also help heart failure patients stay strong without the need of a heart transplant. The research that was lead by Maybaum, and which was presented recently at a meeting of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation in Madrid, Spain, revealed that Clenbuterol is capable of keeping the heart patients away from a major surgery like heart transplant. Studies done by the British center found that Clenbuterol resulted in significant improvement in cardiac functions in patients with heart pumps awaiting heart transplants. In fact, the pumps could be taken out in more than half of the patients, meaning they no longer were in need of transplant. Those studies used doses 20 times those typically used by asthma patients and athletes. However, side effects were also seen in the medicinal uses of Clenbuterol. Some of the side effects included restlessness, palpitations, tremor, headache, insomnia, nausea and increased blood pressure. It is important to note that Clenbuterol is not allowed in the US. It is not approved by the U.S. FDA. The argument for not approving the Clenbuterol by FDA was that US had many asthma control and heart failure medicines which were better than Clenbuterol.
